About Us

Since its inception in 1989, the ah-Story Telling.com online storytelling workshop has been dedicated to providing high-quality service to communities with one mission in mind: to support communities through liberal arts and other various services. It is through our commitment to this mission that the organization has become one of today's most understanding community organizations by serving others. Our team has grown the organization to include art, science, health, television production, and other various community activities.

Organization History

Our organization was first established through its founders Mr. Jeffrey Walls and Mr. Richard Thomas who were both in the US Navy serving aboard the USS Estocin. Both founders established a program first based on the concept of assisting individuals with learning difficulties. We began working with the public broadcasting service on a volunteer basics in July 1992, and began our second broadcast production while in Norfolk in 1994. In 1995, Mr. Richard Thomas was diagnosed with leukemia and passed away in 1996. Under the direction of Jeffrey Walls, we continued the task of establishing a not-for-profit organization. In 1996, we received our charter and on August 1, 1998 received 501(c)(3) status. During this time, our organization has extended itself beyond local community and expanded itself to include art and entertainment projects, science and health programs and educational services. In September 1998, ah-Story Telling.com moved its headquarters to Suitland, Maryland, and later to Capitol Heights, Maryland, where it remains to this present day.
